Anyone know why the compressor I got (it looks exactly like the one I took out) doesn't match up with the other pulleys? 97 tacoma 2.7l

Back at the parts house they have 2 different compressors for the same 2.7, one pulley diameter is 4.75" and the other is 4.25" not sure why they're different diameters, maybe that's my problem? Or I can crank the belt down and make it grab the compressor? It turns the compressor very, very slowly

I'm confused. If the new one looks exactly like the old one then they would both line up with the pulleys the same. Does it look the same but the pulley doesn't stick out far enough toward the front?

Right, sorry. The AC hasnt worked since I've had it, never had a belt on it and I didn't put one on
