I'm trying to get into doing some more offroad trail driving and am having a hard time finding trails near me that I can do in a day trip. Any suggestions on fun day trip material?

I came across that in another post. Is that the only decent one in our area that you know of?

The TWAT is a good trail but I would skip the 1st hour or two. There is a Minnesota trail but I haven’t done it yet. I can get more info when home on it.

Cliffs Insane Terrain is a couple of hours from you.

If you can make it to Indiana (probably 5-6 hours from you) the Badlands get good reviews.

    Thanks for the advice!

trans Wisconsin is your best bet for close and beginning off-road driving (starts near Dubuque). There’s also a trans Missouri trail that starts down by STL.

I’ll be making another trip for the TWAT and also the TMOT at some point this summer if you want to join up sometime - I have a thread going for people to follow and join in.
