What do you do when you've driven a Land Cruiser for 8 years but you can't afford to keep the old girl running right anymore? Buy a Tacoma! Just picked it up this weekend. 2014 double cab, short bed, automatic, 4wd, with the "TSS" trim. Swapping vehicles out at our property on Greers Ferry Lake in Arkansas was a great way to get a feel for the Taco's off road capability. Coming from an FZJ80 (full time 4wd and triple locked) I had pretty high expectations, but so far I'm impressed! Nothing huge planned in the near future as far as modifications go, other than installing a hidden winch mount and my old Smittybilt XRC9.5 winch (that I robbed off my Land Cruiser's homemade bumper). But overall, I'm excited to be part of the Tacoma crowd now.
