The URD pipes say you’ll have a CEL. Will your dump tubes paired with the tune have a CEL? @OVTune

Older WRX’s had two cats (‘02-‘05) but from ‘06 on they only had one cat in the down pipe. My ‘06 passed emissions without cats because in Maryland they only do an OBDII check, no sniffer. No CEL, no problem. If Matt can program a tune that won’t throw a code then it should pass that kind of emissions check.

I just went out and tried that as well, I saw it last night but wasn't sure what it did. I tried that just now and I am still in the same place. I sent a help desk ticket in.
I am sure Mat and his team have seen this user error before and will be able to give me direction.

8 years before we need to smog? I thought it was like 5 or 6yrs?

 

How difficult is it to swap out the parts for this dump pipe system? Say like every few years for a random reason having nothing to do with an emissions test.

Believe it is 5 years from the dealership and then after that every 2 years.

 

I find it easiest to not live in California lol

This sounds very promising for sure but I bet there are a lot of us that will not be able to run dump tubes or turbos or anything else that will effect emissions testing or just can’t afford these upgrades. Having said this I would be interested in what the numbers will be for a 91 oct. performance tune with the new EROM 2.0 on an all stock setup.
This will be most likely used configuration for performance at least for my situation.
