Sorry, I have this posted in 2nd Gen as well but this post prob needs to live here.

So I have a 2013 PreRunner SR5, and I pretty much bought the truck for its reliability and being able to load up the mountain bikes and go hit some trails. I have had my truck for a little over two years and have the itch to start modding it.

The biggest area I don't have a good grasp on is the suspension. I would like to get a new suspension for a couple of reasons. One for just a smoother ride than the stock suspension, and two sometimes getting to the trailheads to go ride I could use some bigger tires and a couple more inches of clearance.

I don't plan on doing any serious off roading or crazy hill climbs. Any good recommendations, I have heard good things about Old man Emu kits.
Also, I have been eyeballing these wheels. https://www.carid.com/vision-wheels/354-manx-2-satin-black-1530075431.html Not sure if anyone has heard good or bad things about Vision.

Whatever you get, make sure you swap the stock Toyota leaf packs for something like Dakars. Single AAL or progressive AAL is just a band-aid and delaying an inevitable failure.

If you're approaching or over 2.5" of lift or more, you should swap UCAs. Something like SPC are budget friendly

Awesome, that's good to know. Do the leaf springs just end up snapping over time with the additional lift?

They're just weak and wear out. I installed a single 2" AAL on the stock leafs and towed our pontoon once for 20 minutes.

It was sagging and rode like shit for 3k miles before I installed Dakars.

Do it once do it right.

Thanks for sending over the link. I wasn't for sure what you were talking about in your first post. This is for sure the most affordable I have seen. Do you know what the ride is like on one of these?

My understanding is it keeps stock ride.
