I just purchased a used 'certified' 2016 SR5 Tacoma from a local dealership. I've noticed that the engine rpms overshoot the next gear change and come back down a moment or two later. I've read that this is a common problem, but that a TSB bulletin for this issue has resolved it. The car has 44,000 miles on it and was routinely serviced by the dealer. What would be the wisest course of action at this point?

Thanks for the suggestion. Would you happen to know the exact TSB for that correction? I saw someone suggest TSB-0125-18, but that really does not cover my issue....

That’s what the dealer is for. You don’t request TSBs, they’re not meant for that. I’d tell the dealer what behaviors your truck has that don’t appear to be normal and that info will dictate what TSBs are applied.

    What area are you in?
