    THANK YOU!

Interesting. When I loaded the test tune on Thursday (13 Jun), I started by updating to the latest VCM Suites (Release and Beta) at that time. The Beta Suite version (4.5.207.0) wouldn't Write the tune to the truck, but the Release Suite version (4.4.4.0) Wrote it uneventfully. Two Write attempts with the Beta errored-out similarly.

It was a busy weekend, so I haven't had a chance to open a ticket or play with it further. :anonymous:

Let me know what you think and if you make any changes to what I posted up as im always curious as to what others think / could implement those changes on my truck ! Glad the excel doc made things easy, and I hope it made sense as far as using difference values.

FYI still rocking the changes I posted in post #3223 https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/hp-tuners-for-2005-2015.600793/page-162#post-20781692 for the last few weeks and am loving it, The extra throttle input you can give now in 5th and keep it locked is SO NICE, and now with 4th locking sooner, hills are a breeze. Probably doing a mammoth snow ski trip this weekend which will be a good long distance test of that exact trans tune.

Also revisions from @JustDSM... oh what goodies does he have now?! :D

I certainly will man, thanks again. I’m really looking forward to trying it out when I get off work.

As far as my engine revision, it’s nothing but some tweaks for my truck that Justin is doing to help with some preexisting knock issues. So nothing super cool just yet lol.

To follow up on the rev hang tune, it's great. I never had rev hang from 1st to 2nd, and 2nd to 3rd, only 4th and 5th, which is gone now. I am going to leave mine exactly how it is now as the revs drop perfectly for me in the higher gears.

I have a hard time believing that the stock rev hang was for smoother shifting or for less shock for the drivetrain because, why didn't my truck have that rev hang in the most critical 1st and 2nd gear?

I did the rev hang tune yesterday, and i'm now realizing how hard it was for me to from 1st to 2nd, specially in stop and go traffic it felt like driving a tractor... This morning it was hella easy getting in and out of second gear in traffic.

    My shit is all stock.

Thank you Chris!!! You're my hero!

So, I went ahead and halved all the numbers in the tables and then upped the gear based enable to 50mph.

Haven't flashed it yet. Anyone see any glaring errors here?

    What changes have y'all made?

@HPTuners any progress on VCM Scanners ability to get actual / desired throttle plate degree angles?

I'll be adding some more PIDs soon:

    upload_2019-6-18_8-53-47.jpg

You can also make a Math Parameter to convert from % or voltage to deg

    You are the man!

I would convert % but the %'s im seeing for throttle position dont line up to throttle degrees doing some quick math. But who knows im not the sharpest tool in the shed.

I left mine disabled like how it came adjusted by HP Tuners/Justdsm. I don't see a need for mine to be altered. You should try it like that and adjust from there.

i maxed out the speed and set all the tables to zero for good measure. works great. i still feel like there might be more negative throttle available but for now i am stoked that it does what i tell it to.

Try resyncing your interface (Help -> Resync Interface). If that doesn't work please open a support ticket and include the debug.dat file (Documents/HP Tuners/Settings/)

Question for those running a larger diameter intake tube. Is maf sensor location important? If yes is there a minimum or maximum distance from tb? I have the momentum intake and being it has a large diameter oval it's a bit tricky with plumbing. When I start cutting I'd like to get it right. Thanks!

Just ordered the MPVI2. Down with the bloody rev hang! I can't wait for this.

    It's DLX son!
Same! I was tempted by the mpg and driveability improvements, but getting rid of rev hang made me pull the trigger.

If the hp tune we have currently is mandatory for the mods we have would it be a wise idea to have a programmed 2nd ecu?
