Yea, I ended up playing it safe and got what I know I like and works for my area.

It’s a fuel ex carbon frame with a mixed bag of some budget slx drivetrain/brakes and Bontrager cockpit. Assuming everything is as described in the listing and doesn’t need immediate replacing, I’ll throw on a nicer (to my standards) wheelset and ride it as is.

The fork, cockpit, and drivetrain I’ll tweak to my liking as I go or as needed.

Edit: I couldn’t wait on unboxing until I got home from work so I already had my wife FaceTime me and do the honors :anonymous:

Only issue I had with your route suggestion was that weren't any actual hookers on Hooker Creek Trail.

It doesn't fold or anything fancy so you wouldn't be driving around with it unloaded.
It looks bulletproof and no plastic, I could live with the yellow..

From what I've googled it seems they are out of business, but were a DH shuttle fab kind of company.

As opposed to the Whorehouse Trail in Ely, NV. Which has a brothel at the bottom.

Hey, you got it pretty good being in NC. A lot of the places that may be in my career's future are back east and far removed from good riding. Boston and BFE, NY to be specific.

Boston has some decent riding. Nothing like out west or western VA or NC but it’s not solid. There is the big XC race at Adams Farm in Walpole which is actually some decent riding if you’re nearby.

Definitely need to take up XC skiing or something for the winter though haha.

I would rather put my pen through my eye coming from the foot of the Wasatch.

Haha not saying its for entertainment, more for fitness because snow doesn’t go away. Fatbike is also an alternative...I just couldn’t get one for $50 like I could an XC ski setup

Oh man, I just looked on trailforks and the Tewksbury / Andover area actually does have quite a bit. Look really XC though.

Guess I am gonna need to check myself and realize how spoiled I am here...

Oh, I love my fat bike. That thing rips all summer long too! You def get a workout on the ups, but the sheer momentum of those dozer tires mean you are UNSTOPPABLE on the DH!

It’s definitely XC but pretty technical trails aren’t far from each other.

There is a place called blue hill that is supposed to be really good, I think they do an enduro there but I never got to ride before I moved. Then the famous kingdom trails in Vermont.
