I would like to get around 230 myself. That’s still losing an elementary age kid! I did a diet a few years ago and dropped to 195, as soon as I stopped it jumped right back to 270. Currently in stasis. If I did any kind of workout it would fall off. Too bad I’m lazy.

A little something every chance we get.
when you are younger, it's much easier to make those swings happen. But you DO have to stick with it, or change habits. Gets harder when you get a bit older, so have to find a consistent thing that you can tolerate when you are an old curmudgeon! I'm just calling it sweat equity - still eat stuff the Dr. doesn't approve of, drink more than is approved of, and running on a WTF schedule. Tan, happy, and not dead )(for the most part!)

It's a mental game. Pick one of your weakest things (you know what they are :D), reduce, replace, or eliminate, take a couple weeks, ingrain it into your habits, then pick the next weakness... iterate until you get where you want to be.

For me its booze, chips and queso. Cut out the chips and queso and now I've been alcohol free for 4 days. I've lost 7 pounds already, but it's definitely water weight as I'm dealing with digestive issues right now. Trying to stick with water and no carbonated drinks, too (I drink lots of carbonated, artificially sweetened/flavored water).

for me it was snacking at night ALOT. eating tacos every other day. not much of a soda drinker but if we went out to drink I would get sweet tea. ended up now either getting 1/2 and 1/2 or just unsweet tea. need to up my veggie intake. even too if we had sweets in the house id snack on them

Yep, i always kept chips in the house, and as such was always snacking on them.
