Exactly. You should never be under a car that a jack is holding up. Jacks are just for lifting. Stands are for holding.

Those combo "unijacks" seem like a convenient middle ground if you can't have a floor jack for some reason

Will that provide enough lift with a 3” kit and 285-75-16’s?

Did it work? I think a 24” is minimum needed to get my truck off the ground to soak up the front suspension and get the wheels 1-2” off the ground.

It worked in the back but not in the front. I think I’m gonna need to carry around some blocks for spacers

i have a small 3 ton floor jack in my tool box in the bed and a 1/2 steel plate 12x12 so it will not push into the ground when I need to use it if i am on the soft side of the road.

I don't know. Lead paint would not stop me from buying one. I'm 57 and don't have to many more years to live.

Ima grab one of those and put a skid on it and paint it OD so it’s tactical AF. Then I’m gonna be stoked on my new jack. Gotta scribble that down in the “things I forget to do on my weekend” list.

Don't know if someone covered this in this thread, I may have missed it, but has anyone used the stock 2nd gen bottle jack with Safe Jack accessories? Does the jack need to be modified?

The ram is too large a diameter to work directly. There are various adapter methods that can be used though available through Safe Jack. I ended up using a 4Runner jack instead since its diameter is just a bit narrower and fits directly in the Safe Jack stuff with no adapters as long as you remove the metal cap from the jack. Seemed easier than dealing with the adapters.
