I was raised in the LML but didn't own a 4x4 until I moved to Vancouver Island 10 years ago.

I have bought parts from Big Country Customs and Overland Outfitters who have both been great. Getting parts across the border is also a good way to save a few bucks.

I install everything myself so I can't recommend a shop but I've always heard good things about North Shore Off Road etc.

My lift is mild, 1.75" front and 2" rear and I've had no issues, I can fit 33" toyos and don't rub at all.

I'm in about 3.5k. Have Icon RXTs, Fox 2.0s, SPC UCAs, and waiting on Fox 2.5 fronts then I'll (attempt to) install myself. Have a vague idea of how that's gonna go. Should be a fun, arduous adventure.

Still way overpriced. If I include wheels and tires then I’m sitting around $7k but I also have OMF Beadlocks and 35” Maxxis Trepadors.

The Icon shocks aren’t even in the same ballpark as King and ADS.

I think $5k for everything is a more reasonable sum.

I’m not arguing the quality between companies. I have FOX in front and King in back. The reason I chimed in is because people were saying they got their lifts for so much cheaper when the OP paid 8k for more than just a lift. The 3rd comment on the thread was “wow that’s almost LT price” but OP’s price includes wheels, tires, and labor.

$4700 for ICON stage 9 kit (which I will admit is a little overpriced but “Kits” usually are)

    $800-$1000 for method wheels (4-5)

    $800-$1000 for Ko2’s (4-5)

Then let’s consider California sales tax on everything. Here’s another $500-$600

Depending on where he’s going for labor, 8-10 hours of labor at probably around $90 per hour considering San Diego. $850ish we’ll say.

I think 8k was a little much but not outrageous considering what he could get those particular parts for.

I’ll say I’ve seen much worse.
