    That's why I'm here...
12th Birthday coming up and the boy and I had a little talk about presents and a big party or a 2-4 day dirtbike/fishing trip. He didn't have to think about it at all...other than trying to decide if the main purpose should be riding or fishing.

So recommendations? Starting from west GA, all options are on the table. Not afraid of distance traveled we just have to cram it into the time we've got. We'll drive the truck to location then be riding YZ250/YZ65. Don't have a boat but wouldn't be opposed to renting one for a day or doing a sea charter. He's been riding since he was four but only been on the YZ with a clutch since December so not ready for anything crazy single track/trail.

    Thanks for any recommendations.

Don’t know what time of year your planning on your trip and it’s not fishing or dirt bikes (though you could bring the dirt Bikes) and it would probably be better if you could get another day or 2 but a road trip to camp and mountain bike in Moab UT would be a good father son trip IMHO. You could rent Mtn bikes in Moab ( I recommend Poison Spider bike shop)ride early in the morning before it gets too hot on some great slick rock trails then back to camp to change and take the Taco out for some light wheeling and sight seeing, then dinner in town and back to camp. There are places in town you can rent a shower if you do the tent thing. Me and my son do it at least a couple times a year if not more.
