Need some input here. I've got a squeal when accelerating from a complete stop, i.e. stop and go traffic, that I can replicate it most of the time. It seems to be coming from the rear end and sounds to follow the rotation of drive shaft/rear end/rear wheels. It's most noticeable when first starting off and then tapers off through 2nd gear. Doesn't do it from a rolling stop.

I had the "master" tech at the dealership ride with me today and naturally it didn't do it a single time. He was leaning towards the rear drums having brake dust build up and suggested I set up another appointment when I could leave it with them so they could a rear drum clean and service.

    Any thoughts?

My leaf pack is already squeaking and I only have 35k miles. Could be the leafs or what the tech told you. When you get a chance try to bounce on the truck in the rear and if it squeaks it’ll be your leaf pack.

I don't think it's the leaf pack since it follows the rotation of the drive line but I'll check it out.

i had that happening with my truck around 10k or so, turned out to be a problem with the driveshaft. they replaced it and it's been fine ever since.

That's what I'm thinking after hearing the way the squeak 'spools up'.
