Ok thanks. Will check it out. Dealer wanted $185 for revised bearing and $212 for hub so about $400 total

I just did this and ordered Blue pit bearings and it was a super easy job, 1 hr tops per side and that included cleaning up the wheel wells. $500 for the bearing and hub combo, totally worth the price, and Andy will send you new OEM cotter pins for the Axle nuts

I have a hydraulic press and am perfectly capable of pressing out the old hub and pressing it into a new bearing. I bought the preassembled bearings that I posted the link to. That should tell you how good of a deal it is to order those and just slap them in. I did spend a little extra effort removing the knuckles, glass bead blasting them, painting them and replacing both inner seals. There's 2 inner seals per side. 1 in the knuckle and 1 on the CV joint.

Whole hub assembly is the way to go. A1 Auto sells the front pair for $150
    [IMG]
Took me about 30 seconds to find that. Others are cheaper...
Whoever quoted you that price was severely bending you over, without even the courtesy of a reach-around.

If you live in an area with road salt and rust, it will likely take you a solid afternoon or more to replace both sides. Mine were seized into the spindle like nothing else.

Is axle seal and o ring needed or just a good thing to do since you got things apart?

When replacing the bearing/hub assembly dig in a little deeper and replace the seal behind the knuckle. Mine was damaged on the driver's side and probably why the bearing became dry and noisy at low mileage. Really not a bad job for the DYI'er.

Soak everything in PB Blaster asap. Should help when you get to actually replacing it

All Data time is 3.2 so they are just using a labor guide, which is very normal. Depending on labor rate, that would probably be around $400 or so just for the labor.

If I had to do it over again I would've used an air chisel, which I didn't have at the time. Once you get the old hubs off the spindle it's pretty quick work. Pounding in the new seal on the inside of the spindle can be a pain as well since it's a tight space to swing a hammer.

Removing the knuckle completely is only a few more nuts and bolts and makes it easy to replace both inner seals. I bought all 4 OEM inner seals. Removing the knuckle does bump the dificulty level up to about a 3.2 but it's still just nuts and bolts, a slide hammer puller, a torque wrench, and a BFH.

O ring should be replaced with hub bearing because your old one may be torn. It can be reused, but I would just get a new one. Axle seal don't really need to be replaced unless you're removing the axle or if the rubber is torn. The axle seal sits between the axle and spindle. Below is the axle seal I'm talking about.

So I contacted the main vendor on here and I can’t get the parts soon enough because he is out of stock. NAPA can get me Dorman assemblies shipped by Monday for $215 for full hub assembly. Thinking about pulling the trigger on these because I need job done ASAP.

Is there anywhere else I can get revised bearing and assembly already assembled with quick shipping? If they revised and improved the bearing that tells me there was an issue with original bearings. Wouldn’t might some heavy duty ones since I plan to keep the truck for a long time.

If no one knows of another vendor that sells complete hub assembly with revised bearings how do the Doorman’s stack up?

Is there another brand out there there that is comparable to revised bearings?

    Thanks!
