It’s highly suggested for alignment reasons

What are your exact goals? I just lifted mine 1.5" in the rear and about 2.5" in the front going with OME 885, Bilstein 5100's, and a Wheeler's AAL. The suspension itself has worked well so far and been very budget friendly.

But....keep in mind that the lift will impact other things.

My truck immediately got the needle bearing/CV axle bearing/roller bearing rumble in the front diff and had to replace that with the ECGS bushing. I'm also having a second alignment shop look at my truck today, because the first place couldn't get it setup very well. If this doesn't work, I'm looking at new UCA's to get into alignment. Both of these are very common issues that come with even a small lift. From what I can tell, they are like 50/50 if you'll get them, and I've had BOTH problems. Its added ~$1,000 to my overall investment, which really sucks.

I ordered that last week, getting delivered today, I went with the 3" and I also decided to get the upper control arms just to do it right. It's a really good price for a solid brand name quality lift without going overboard. I'm not an off roader other than pulling my boat down dirt/ mud roads/ramps, so it's plenty for me. Putting 275/65r18's nittos after that :)
Good luck, I'll have pics before and after, my truck is a stock 2015 double cab long bed limited

I have the exact lift, but with the regular OME dakar leaf springs in the rear. Rides amazing.

My goals are to get new shocks in the front & rear for sure just because the ones on it currently are stock and its an '09. I really want to get a 3" lift and to equal the front to the back. Just don't really want to spend an arm & a leg for a lift at the moment.

I hear you on that guy's the 5100 great set up front and rear. I'd probably recommend spending the money on a brand new leaf doing though. The stock leaf springs are crap when you lift the vehicle even if you put a add a leaf.
