2012 taco has one light with constant moisture. A friend suggested I leave them on and they might dry out during trips. Did not work. Now, do I replace the complete unit or just the bulb and make sure it is seated properly?

Try getting a hairdryer in there and dry it up. Then try the bulb again make sure it seats good and maybe put some vasoline on the bulb gasket

You’ll need to remove the leans from the truck (easy to do, two screws and pops out) and use a hair dryer to get most of the moisture gone. Then get a silica pack and use a needle nose vice grip to insert the pack into the lens for a few days. It will suck up the moisture.

Just leaving lights on or using a hairdryer and plugging the bulb back in won’t work. It will build up condensation much like fog after rain on a hot day.
