Hey y'all! Looking to spend the extended weekend doing some small DIY projects for my 2017 DCSB Pro.

I want to install basic footwell lights, and was thinking of using 4 LED strips, 2 for the driver/passenger and 2 for the rear floorboard. I'm far from an electrician and just want to ask for some clarification on some of the options I have. Feel free to just send me a link to existing threads on this, I checked prior but I could've missed it.

    1. Is there any product that really stands out as far as LED strips go? There's a ton of options from cheap eBay and Amazon products or LEDGlow, etc. Does it truly matter with something like this? I don't really care for all the ridiculous colors and gimmicks that most have, I would just want a white glow similar to the Qi Charger light (if anyone has specs on that, it'd be appreciated!). Nothing fancy, nor too bright.

    2. Do people usually tap the dome light or the Qi charger light? With the dome, you'd essentially use footwells only for getting in and out of the car. With the Qi, you could leave it on for the drive, which I feel like could be distracting and unnecessary if it's too bright. Opinions on both?

    3. In the case of the Qi tap, would it be easy to also have a switch in case I want to turn them off? A simple OEM style 4x4 is what comes to mind.

Again, any help is appreciated! Sorry if my ignorance is outstanding, I'm trying to learn!

Wouldn't mind doing the same with blue foot lights, anybody got a link to demonstrate?
