Hey all. Gotta get rid of the sr5 chrome bumper ends. Could be swayed either way. Both seem to have drawbacks. Replacement ends seem to have a clip in the middle noone can seem to get back on. Do they hold up without it? Covers seem to have fit issues with little bits of chrome peeking out here and there. Advice and comments welcome.

I did the same as SSG665........2 cans of Plasti-dip < $25 to do it.

No issues & didn't re-use the metal clips either.

I have the replacement caps. The clips suck, but I got them in there.

I say go with the Bumper shellz. I did, and could not be happier with the outcome.

I did bumpershellz, very quick and easy, very happy with the way it looks. Did not see a need to use the tape, it is securely tucked under the bumper step and clipped at the bottom with three factory clips on each side.

Bought black covers on partsgeek.com for around 20 bucks each after someone clipped my corner in a parking lot. Yes the metal clip is a pain, but if you dangle it from a piece of tape and shove your fingers behind the bumper it can be re-clipped pretty easy. Replacement took me less than 20 min total.

I did bumpershellz too. I didn't use the adhesive tape either. Took about 10 minutes to do.
