Best tires for Hawaii sand and shitty roads?

    2017 Tacoma Sport 4wd with 3" lift 265/70/17 KO2s currently.

    Looking st getting 33s. Not sure what tire type and if 285s are way better for sand than 255 skinnies? Any help would be appreciated. Mahalo

    285’s would be preferably better on the sand than 255’s.. some of the guys on here run toyo rt, goodyear dura tracks, goodyear Mtr’s, km3’s an ko2s or Mickey Thompson mtz

    Agree with @DEDAFLO670, 285 are better than 255 on soft terrain.

    But even 285 will still get stuck in some areas. You’ll need to air down to 10psi, and invest in an air compressor to air back up before you hit the highway.

    Also, be cautious of where you drive. People will call HPD on you if you’re in an area you’re not supposed to be.
