New to the Tacoma World! Will 33”s 285/65R18 fit on a stock 2016 TRD Sport (rims are 18x9 w/ 1 offset) with 1-1/2 wheel spacers and without wheel spacers?

You will rub in both cases.

33” tire will rub no matter spacers or lift (almost guaranteed).

Alright. I don’t mind making changes so they won’t rub because 33”s look great on the yota

If you want 33”, then at the very least you will need a cab mount chop (cmc). Look it up online. There are lots of fabricators and truck shops that’ll do it for $100-$200.

Hello and welcome! We see one of these threads pop up at least once or twice a week so instead of creating a new one you should try using the search feature. However, I understand all the information can be a little overwhelming for someone new. You should try a search for "pizza cutters" (skinny 33s). This is the only way to fit 33s on a stock truck without rubbing or trimming.

@nartmot: so would you consider Mud Terrain skinny 33’s or big?

"Mud terrain" has more to do with the design of the tire, rather than the size. Coincidentally, the selection is kind of limited for pizza cutters and most of them are mud terrain.

Doesn’t have anything to do with mud terrain or all terrain. For our trucks a “pizza cutter” is one of the following sizes.

If you want to keep at 17” wheel lookup 255/80/17 tires.

If you want to have a 16” wheel lookup 255/85/16 tires.

Keep in mind these usually only work on rim widths of 6-8 inches.

Would a 3” lift help out on the 33s fitting better without cutting and when I use a 1-1/2 spacer?

Minor rub on plastic in wheel well with 0mm offset. Stick to 0mm.

285/16/18 are not true 33's, more like 32 1/2, with the right UCA you might get away with just flexing the front moulding some. I run 285/70/17s (32), with a 1.875" lift and no CMC.

Lift won’t help much at all. The issue is the width of the tire. Depending on offset spacers could make it worse.

I would like to run 33’s so would it be best to get new UCA’s and go with a 4” lift instead of a 3”? Wheel spacers are 1-1/2 and the rim is 1 offset
