Curious to see how this plays out....

OP's got the money, just get a new leaf pack (OEM Leafs tend to sag anyways) and AccuTuned kings all around. That'll get it riding like a Cadillac

I bought it new. Ill get some photos. Dealer was surprised I used it. It has pin stripes scratched wheels. He said I should keep it in a garage? It has big red springs. The rear leaf springs look like they should be lifted for a more traditional driving view. Thank TW for learning me the TRD SQUAT. Im used to view from a D90, where I can see right in front of where I am driving. Just seeing hood is like crazy. I purchased it while D90 was out of service. I don't understand the hood design. The supercharger doesn't occupy that "scoop" space that reflects sun so annoyingly. I think these only came in black, white and lava or something like that, I wanted a 6 speed but this one was local. The ranch roads are in some areas extreme right away. I use polaris rangers D90 and RRC when I have guests who'd appreciate AC. All these have a great predictable ride. The Pro was supposed to fit in - however its ride is too harsh. Feels like suspension travel is very limited and brutish. Like this would be good for jumping sand dunes? Don't change the work truck, change the work? I have to visit a local toy shop.

Sounds like you bought a Tacoma to beat the crap out of it.

What air pressure are you running in the tires and are they a C load rating or something higher. A D/E load rated tire is going to have stiffer sidewalls and running high psi transfers more of the impacts to the suspension.

Also, as stated above, the 2nd Gen Pro came with Bilstein shocks.

New shocks/springs out back and coilovers in front, along with removing your swaybar and you'll notice a huge improvement over the stock setup. FWIW, I generally air down to 20psi when cruising fireroads.

Pretty well summed up what I was going to say right there. A big factor in the ride of your truck will be what tires you have and what pressure they are aired up to. If E range tires and you're primarily on dirt roads with a light load, try maybe 25 psi. More pressure for: paved roads, heaved loads, lighter (C range) tires.

I purchased it new. It was the Taco with the greatest factory ground clearance. Or at east that is what I thought at the time. They wouldn't let me test drive it at the cattle ranch first.

Check out this thread for everything you need to know. First thing I would do is put an AAL in the rear. If you're not towing a heavy load, you can make your truck handle those roads far superior to any full size IMO...especially with the blower. Just depends how much you want to spend. Pro coil springs are stiffer than the Baja and Off-road IIRC

I air down my tires when on logging roads, makes a huge difference.

I felt the same way with my 11. AAL leaf helped a lot. $90 from wheelers:

The taco can be a great truck to have around at the ranch assuming you don't need giant towing capacity... I think its a bit easier to back into corrals and such than a full size. I kind of wish I had a more beater truck to use though (I'm mainly worried about scratching my rear fenders when loading and unloading), my box has taken a beating loading/unloading square bails, wood and trash... and it is ugly but it hasn't suffered any damage really besides a few dents.

Not true. I started that thread a few years back now and I am still not broke. :D

Lucky for me I just know how to do my own work so that has saved me thousands in the process.
