Leaf pack recall, worth the AAL trouble?

So I took my 2010 in to have a broken ujoint replaced under the warranty enhancement for that. While there, they checked my rear leaf pack, and wanted to replace it.
I have an AAL on it as part of my toytec lift, so they didn't want to touch it. I get that.

My question: is it worth removing the AAL and the shim so I can get new leaf packs? I would just add it all back afterwards.

Do you know if they make any changes that would keep me from adding my AAL and the shim back afterwards?

Hmm. So if the new pack is 3+1, do I even need my toytec AAL?

Personally I opted not to do it. Read too many stories about new leafs sagging worse than the old ones. I just figure I already put the effort into installing the aal and then I’d have to remove it and then reinstall it. For that much effort I’ll just keep a close eye on mine and if I get an inclination of failure then I’ll buy a whole pack and putt my labor into something worth while - not new OEM , equally shitty leafs. My $.02

Don't bother, not worth the effort for TSB springs. I swapped on the TSB springs, still had sag, then added the add a leaf. I'd go straight to an aftermarket spring pack

Same experience here. I tried to cheap out and got take off brand new TSB and added a leaf. A year later they are sagging.

This is exactly right. I took mine in and it was well worth it in terms of ride quality. Although the dealership WAS cool enough to replace my AAL while they were already in there.
