Bought my first Tacoma last December from a dealership. ‘03 2.7 sr5 4x4, 5 speed manual transmission, extended cab and came with a paint matched leer topper and a custom air mattress for the bed!

Couldn’t be happier with my purchase so far. It is a great truck and still runs great at almost 260,000 miles! I’m from Montana and it’s been down a few dirt roads already and more to come with summer coming on.

Thanks in advance for any help, advice, tips, suggestions, etc. for the many questions I’ll have as a first time Tacoma owner. Cheers!

    Robert.

Congrats on the taco! Very nice looking. Is there any rust on the frame or suspension parts? I purchased my 08 taco a few months ago and taking care of the rust on the bumper, diffs, and suspension parts has been my biggest project so far. Id advise checking out the underbody and look into some preventative maintenance. Also another thing i installed that is a life saver is the LED lights in the cap. Highly recommend. Good luck with the new truck!

I have not seen any rust on the frame. Would have to check the suspension. A little bit of surface rust on the rear bumper where the paint is thin and the tiny panels under the headlights are starting to get the same. Nothing a sander and some touch up paint couldn’t handle?
