What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I wired my fogs into the factory harness with adapters and my winch is wired straight to the battery. I'm running a fridge, ditch lights, CB radio and GMRS radio on my aux panel. When my Baja SAE fogs come in, I'll swap them out with my current Baja fogs and use the old ones as side lights on the aux panel

 

Mine didn't come w/ a factory harness. I have a base model knowing I was gonna mod it. I feel like I'm in luxury w/ power windows/doors & touch screen radio lol.

 

I'm looking at putting in the little recess in the center console. I won't be using it all the time. Taking measurements now.

 

Yeah I'm taking step back for a moment till I 100% know where I wanna mount radio. Antenna is connect from rear if bed to back other center console to reach any where in the center console area

 

They are just acting as spacers, not the structure, the bolt and the floorboard is taking the loads the only load the plastic is only taking the compression force of the weight of the seat and your body. If it was to be flung forward in a wreck it would be the bolt and the floor holding the seat down and would not effect the spacer at all.

 

I'm probably going to need something like this because of the OEM inverter I installed. I'll know once I cut a hole in the bottom of the console.

 

I agree, I do not know shit about physics, but I did spend 6 plus years as an EMT. (I have seen some rough stuff) that is why I made my seat spacers out of 2"round 1" thick hardened steel hydraulic cylinder rod. with grade 8 bolts. just my .02

 

Doesn't really matter what the spacer is made out of, the bolt and the floor is what’s absorbing the force and keeping the seat secured, if the bolt fails it doesn’t matter what the spacer is made of. I used a 10.9 bolt for these too.

 

I have seen a lot of seats do a lot of things as a result of an accident. I would think that the bolt would pry against the plastic and might make the plastic break where a metal spacer that spreads out the mounting surface might hold up better............ But hey Man if you trust it more power to ya.

 

Installed a Nagoya RBV-700N lip mount with a Comet SS-460SBNMO quarter wave antenna. (Daily parking garage and low home garage otherwise I would have gone half wave.) Now time to save up for a full time 50w dual receive rig radio.

 

I attempted to wrap the center console. I found a few things about myself as a person, specifically I have no fucking patience.

I was hoping to do that but my radio is too deep and it doesn't sit how I'd like. Currently I am using heavy duty velcro for a low vis and removable mount to the side of the console.

 

I'm sorry I wasn't clear enough.. I ripped the whole thing off cuz it looked like crap. My OCD w
couldn't take it anymore.

 

Installed complete Dobinson suspension .
After removing my Bilstein 5100 ( 3 of them were completely ruined).
I'll let you know how it works..
