    I got a 2010 taco, double cab with the jbl package and i am wondering what size of sub is in the back. I would like to replace it with an aftermarket sub but would like to know what sub i should get. self-powered or no?

    To the OP, a real 10" sub and an amp of at least 200-300 watts is what you want. THe JBL is just better than the base system... it still sucks overall.

    Just get rid of that plastic box and replace it with a custom box to fit two tw5 jl. They are flat subs that fit behind the rear set. And you cam fit two of them.
