Just that product by itself probably will not work. To truly reinforce an unbroken surround, you need to lay a piece of fiberglass mat, cover it with special resin. If it' cracked through, you need to grind the broke edges, drill holes on either side of the crack, lace, like you would lace your shoes with piano wire, to bring both edges together. Then you use duraglas, then you use Bondi, then you prime, seal and paint. This is the proper repair method.

Much cheaper just to buy a new one.

I guess I would be worried if I lived in cold climates for most of the year, but I only see it for a short time from December-feb and it'll only get as cold as 30f or so. Although because this blizzard has come by it's like 10-20f and it's looks fine. I'm not gonna stress it. I'm not even gonna change it out to my stock limited grill. I'll deal with the issue when it comes around.

Here is where mine started to show signs of stress last winter. I took the the grill surround completely apart and used some of that as seen on tv UV plastic bonding stuff on the crack as well as across the back side. I installed the insert back on with the least amount of screw pressure possible and it has held up well. Looks pretty much exactly the same a year later.
