I want to do a lightbar in my ‘02’s front bumper like the one pictured, just a little wider. Do I have to buy special brackets? Are all lightbars created equal?

Decide just what light bar you want .

Figure out just what all needs done to install it in your truck .

Custom brackets might be needed it all depends just what bumper is on your truck.

got my trans cooler mounted on that cross member. dont think you'll have a problem there... plenty of steel. i have a 36" on my SXS, mount'n brackets rotate 360. find the model you want, take the dimensions and make a mock up w/cardboard. fab some bar steel or alum. for mount'n plates. i used tek bolts for my install.

I bent 2 pieces of aluminum bar and used the bolt holes that go through the frame top to bottom. Just needed some real long 5/16 or 3/8 bolts, I cant remember which. 1020171813a.jpg
