Washed, waxed, polished, vacuumed, wiped etc. You get the point. Cleaned it inside and out. IMG_20190620_163601747_HDR.jpg IMG_20190620_162857035_HDR.jpg IMG_20190620_163008536_HDR.jpg

I dodged a severe thunderstorm in the process. Finished the wash and saw that the sky appeared to be close to berthing the Anti-Christ so pulled it in the garage for the detail. Only took 4.5 hours lol.

I have a garage for now. When I move out next year I doubt Ill have that perk. But I can still use my parents garage I guess, provided I dont move far away.

Non elocker diff are different than elocked diffs. I think the axles are the same though and I believe if you delete the abs ring it'll work on any axle housing. @Squeaky Penguin might know.

Yeah you’re right, I was implying the non-locked and e-locked diffs are respectively the same. Might’ve worded that badly.

Why are you shackles completely vertical, or is that just a illusion.

Rule of thumb is 15* to them. If they are vertical and you are driving down a trail and lift a tire the energy will droop the tire more then a flex test. This causes the shackles to invert bend a spring or eye and cause major headaches. Having to high lift your truck and attempt to right a shackle with a bad leaf is a pita.

I would move the mount /shackle hangers forward wd 1.5 inches.
EDIT: Just my experience though, good job on the rest. Wish i had the time to box everything out.

Mounted the new AC compressor. Finished up the transmission cooling line routing and mounted the power steering pump.

Tomorrow I need to replace the AC condenser and dryer. I'll be glad when the AC part of this project is over. I can do it ok.

Just not one of my favorite things. I'd rather be working on the suspension.

I ran lift shackles from the beginning, a poor mans lift when I had stock springs. I do have stock length greasable shackles that will be going on as part as all this work.

I was thinking about moving them forward after @Rockbaron1 mentioned it. Maybe I’ll hang onto them in case I ever change my mind to net more travel. But at the same time I only got 10” shocks since that’s what most people can only get out of these trucks so I’ll run that setup for a bit and see how it goes.

But everyone knows I beat the piss out of my rig and thankfully never had it invert on me luckily, so thankful for that.

    I have mods
Stock length shackles, also with the bed removed.

Yes, they have more angle than @cynicalrider has but in both cases, once the weight of the bed and all the other shit is put back on the truck, they will have more than enough angle not to worry about.

I was referring to when a single tire drops down or say you get s good bounce and unload all the suspension. Not really driving on the street, although that will be a rougher ride as well. Just my personally learned lessons, not saying its not drivable or trying to put anyone down.

Extreme yours are at the normal angle not straight vertical.

No one thinks you are, it’s a good lesson in shackle angle, something that doesn’t get discussed much.

That is a good angle, they should be 90 degrees of your leaf spring

I might ask you to take a look at my "custom" ones as they aren't the best and I think they are causing issues with setting up my suspension properly.
