I posted earlier that the Pre Collison braking light came on for no reason. Beautiful day not a car in sight and the light keeps coming on. Today I got a Special Service Remedy letter for my Vin Number to fix this problem. Update software and apply sealant to keep moisture out. The dealer has already put a updated gasket on the Sensor. Am I the only one?

I received the letter, I just did not call for appointment yet. What pisses me off I was there a month ago for my first checkup. Why they did not do it then?

I never had an issue with the sensor malfunctioning. Ive owned the truck for over a year. I received the recall notice last month. Took the truck in and they took care of it. Still no issues with the radar.

Here's the thing that gets me upset. My truck is a Costco hauler , I live in the city. The truck stays in a AC/Heated garage. I don't cross streams of water or see if I can turn the truck upside down trying to crawl over a huge rock or tow a huge horse trailer or anything drastic. I bought the 4WD drive for one use. BLACK ICE. Dry conditions with spots of snow or ice going up or down hills on the roads in Tennessee. If I had known that the manual states never use 4WD on dry conditions I would not have bought the Taco. What I needed was a ALL WHEEL DRIVE vehicle. I bought one. 2019 Lexus RX350 F Sport. Live and learn. I love the taco but I just didn't understand about all the types of 4WD. I drove many types of ARMY vehicles in Vietnam. They were all 4WD all the time. I never remember saying do we need to go to 4WD , of course there were very few paved roads.

Yes there is a distinct difference between AWD and 4WD. For black ice, I would prefer AWD with winter tires simply because you never know when you're on black ice until it's too late.

East Tennessee is really bad for Black Ice. It's like a ice skating rink that has a black sheen. You can drive for miles and come up on frozen ice or slushy ice and then turn to dry and then turn to wet , all in a mile or two. Stay home if you can!

We get the same here in Oregon or sometimes, just a thick layer of ice on the freeways. And yet people who have no business driving in such weather still go out and think they can drive like normal. Was driving home from work a few years ago during a forecasted winter storm in a FWD car and had to tell someone in the their Tahoe to put it in 4WD so they could get unstuck, amazing. Some drivers just gave up and left their cars in the middle of the road. Fortunately, I now have a job where I work at home four days a week.

We have those acid heads here in Pa. When it snows they need to go out and try their new toy in the snow, and most do this at night.
