    I think there is more info now where the guy was hauling 2900# and hit a larger drop at a fast speed. Truth comes out late in the game always. Lol

    It looks like the rear end bottomed out against the bump stops just as the trailer was loaded up on the tongue on uneven terrain and the energy carried through the frame and the weak spot made itself known. The axle acted like a pivot. I bet more force than the static tongue weight was on the hitch as the axle bottomed.

    I definitely suspect there is more to the story than what was told on the FB post. I’m not a huge fan of the Colorado but I never guessed the frame would do that unless someone really screwed up. Someone definitely did something wrong to cause that. Hitting a drop and high speed with a trailer could be the reason. Maybe super high tongue weight too
