    hello All,

I am a new member here and wanted post and introduce myself as suggested.

I just traded my Black 2016 SR5 Access Cab in on a Cav Blue 2019 TRD Off-Road with the works. Leather and tech package as well as the OF package. Total guilty pleasure buy! I’ve never been more in love with anything in my life. Don’t tell my wife.

First thing I’ll say bc I know it’s been a topic of discussion, is that whatever Toyota did to the transmission between this Taco and my ‘16 SR5, did the trick! I traded in mainly bc I wanted the full 4 doors and the OFF-Road and a color that would appear cleaner, more often as I’m a construction superintendent on very larger projects and there is no escape from the dust out there. Once at the dealership, I fell in love with the test drive on this one. The TRD OF suspension and smoothness of the transmission completed to my last one is night and day. The other huge difference is the driving position. I’m 6’+ and still had a terrible time trying to see curbs and things over the hood and sides of the ‘16 in tight parking and driving situations. This one is 100% better. No beating me around the truck either when turning into a gas station or taking a turn at speed. My 2016 seemed to take a half hour deciding which gear to be in as well. This is always on point. The interior is incredible too! This Cav Blue is completely stunning and has people staring and commenting everywhere I go. Now, here is my single complaint with this one. With less than 200 miles on it, the front grill sensor went out! They’ve ordered the new part and will install it tomorrow but with this sensor fried, I lost my cruise control, pre-collision and have to stare at pop up warnings on my screen the whole time I’m driving which Bother me more that all of it! Has me questioning my decision to buy the tech package. What is it going to be like in a few years when my warranty/service agreement runs its course? Otherwise, I’m delighted as many would assume and I’m heading out now to hit the OSV beach again with the family that can now all fit in my truck. I’ll be looking for suggestions on a very conservative lift kit, bull bar as well as some tips from you guys/gals on deep sand beach driving with this new tech package. Never took my SR5 off road so last time I did this, I was locking in hubs, airing down and rolling on but I see some people saying I need to consider turning off some of these tech settings and whatnot. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for reading my book. Peace!
