2014 Tacoma manual starter install.

    Scratches, dents, lots of squeaks.
    Just put a new starter in my truck. Mine had seen too many deep water crossings. Took about an hr. Just wanted to post a few pics of the angle I used to get the starter out. It's a game of tetris.

    First disconnect positive battery terminal!!!!

    Disconnect the front drive shaft from xfer case and slide out of the way. Disconnect electrical and remove the 2 bolts that hold the starter on. On the manual these go through the bell housing and into the starter mount. I think on the auto, they thread through the starter mount and into the bell housing.

    Once all is disconnected you'll have to flip the starter around so the gear is facing the front of the truck. See below for pics of positing to wiggle it out between bell housing and cat.

    Torque spec on the ujoint bolts is 65lbs

    Shout out to @mwc273 for the info. He used the same procedure for his 2014 automatic.
