Damn these lights are bright!

Well the night that I installed my HIDs I got a call to go to work so I left early in the morning and never adjusted my headlights. Needless to say I could see perfectly fine, 2 weeks later I come in and never thought about it but last night I was driving and noticed I could see peoples teeth as they were coming at me on the highway. So tonight I parked behind my brothers truck and left the lights on while I went sit in his truck. HOLY SHIT. I'm sorry to all the unlucky people that I was behind or infront off. Now they are adjusted, it was very simple and I only used my fingers no tools needed, only had to adjust the up/down the horizontal seems fine. If you have these lights you may want to look into tending to this. Even though they are adjusted they are still very bright.

 

Glad to hear that you care about your fellow drivers to adjust your headlights so as to not to blind them. I've seen too many drivers who could give a damn about whether or not they're blinding oncoming drivers.

 

Yeah, I am on the highways alot, and just wanted to be able to see better in inclimate weather not give everyone else a hard time. I was kinda thinking even with them adjusted they are too bright. I have them set a little low to help out a little more since I have a lift. We were gone eat out with my brother and his wife but on the way to pick them up it got dark enough to use my headlights and I decided it would be better to go in their car.

 

Yeah good job on adjusting now i need a pair just with my piaa bulbs people didnt like me lol

Hi luk8272, are you use the OEM headlight housing, or after market Halo headlight housing? The question I ask is I have a set of 6000K Hi/Lo on the OEM headlight housing. I never adjust it, so is it you just adjust it tilt down a little bit?

 

Factory housing. Very easy to turn down, I just eye balled it. I also realized that driving with the fogs on (like I used to do) all the time is just too bright.

Here is a link on how to adjust. I only moved the verticle up/down. The top adjustment is under a plastic cap and controls the horizontal left/right.

Keep in mind I have a 3" lift. I thought they were ok until I parked behind my brothers truck and then sat in it.
