Use a USB dongle that requires 12vDC, have switch control the input to this added dongle. Then from dongle to charger..

    None... yet
Running equipment at voltages higher than what it’s built for will drastically reduce its life (think days/weeks as opposed to years) It’ll work reeeeally good, but only for a while if it doesn’t burn out fuses. I think your best bet is to find a 12v vehicle plug for your charger and plug it into the dash, then try to hide the wiring and mount it under the regular Qi port after doing away or disabling the factory one. Other than that maybe a small 12v-9v transformer like what is in the cigarette plug that would come with the wireless charger. Would be small and easy enough to wire but not sure where you’d get one or where to put it.

Why not just hold the Qi button down for 3 seconds to get it to switch to fast charge mode?

WTF?!? is that a thing, are you fucking with me?o_O I wonder how that will affect the temps. I've never heard of the fast charge mode for the qi chargers.

And the more I think about this, it seems like it would just make more sense to use the guts of something like than and tap into the actual cigarette lighter circuit because that has a 10A fuse I belive. I would still want the switch functaniliy but I never turn the thing off...so :notsure:

These are the circuits that share the 7.5A ECU-ACC fuse:

    upload_2019-6-24_3-21-6.jpg
The only circuit that really pulls any real amps is the Qi charger, the rest are input signals. Using only the Qi switch would also just be "signal" power. If you don't have seat heater or sliding roof those are available to use...

    :D Sorry, couldn’t help myself.

You have a good mod there, I’ve been wanting to pull mine out and selling it on Fleabay or something and do something more useful with the space it took up.

So it is a 7.5A fuse, don't know why I was thinking 1A. I do have both those options. You've been a great help so far. Gonna do some more thinking.

    Sliding Roof (S/ROOF) is always HOT/Battery - Seat Heater is IGN/ACC (S/HTR)

Has anyone does removed the Qi charger and have pics of the wiring before it actually removed. Or seen post where this has been documented. I have seen this pic on other threads but was wondering if there some actual photo documentation other than this.

I like the idea of knob upgrades for the entune radio dash but the rest of pic is making me uneasy, lol. I know it probably seems worse than it actually is as I have taken a few photos like that before, but that doesn't inspire any will power to go ripping out my dash.

Sorry been dead lately, work work work:p Why not just go this route as the wireless charger has never caused me problems despite being plugged in forever. Rather not have to deal with a switch for it and I feel as if the circuitry in the EPNG930 has some fail-safe in itself as well.

Planning on having a few days off in a week or two and looking forward to doing a write up on this.

@TiredHands I did not, I got busy and lazy. But I just bought a 2020 a while back and performed the mod again. Again no real write up, but if you give me your email I can send you some pics that will give you a good idea of how to do it(if I didn't delete them). Attaching pics here is way too much effort.
