i have done the right of passage to offroading. i can now slap the OF4WD sticker on my truck, this was all seriously an awesome meet and greet. It was great riding with you @Bocsy44 and @ODSC1

you said it was for a stock truck but booooooooy i feel like i asked a lot out of the AT... wasn't sure about the three water crossings we did yesterday but that first one i sent it :mudding:
    IMG_20190622_125122.jpg
and bent the shit out of my front plate. time to rip if off and stick on a SSO slim line hybrid bumper
    :spending:

Had a blast running with you guys too!
the water crossing did look so much more terrifying than it actually was - but i enjoyed still trying to figure out the best way through it.

    IMG_20190622_125004.jpg
oh look it's a jeep:bananadead: gotta give him some love too.
if it wasn't for him, we'd never would have moved the tree

oh, you mean the Axe we absolutely destroyed? i swung it one last time at the cottage and the head went flying:anonymous:
anyone have a recommendation for a good axe?

also i checked the dash cam, i have footage of everything. all the water crossings, all the hill climbs that all the MT guys had to throw into 4lo, where my AT did it just fine in 4Hi (Auto's don't give a fuck - they got places to go, places to be) :burnrubber:, and videos of the baby heron we drove around.

    :crapstorm:
    AT is perfectly capable offroad,
    Change my mind.

we just get blocked by 2 1/2 foot wide trees that fall in our path and where ATVs just went around and didn't clear a patch large enough for us. selfish bastards. /s.

on the road again, something feels pretty great about being the first ones in a truck to drive through here (except ATVs, they don't count as anything - they did nothing about the tree)

Lunch on an old airstrip, this was pretty sweet since there were no more bugs to bite us.

and i had just washed and waxed the truck yesterday. well dirt looks great too!

@tacoma16 mind adding these to the front as well?

    Any camp spots along here?
I believe it was @Canadian Joe who was telling us about his getting pinched between a rock and the tire and ended up having it pull and bend his fender.

Mine are gone. Don't fit with the tires.
I seem to remember you losing one in Ardbeg from being a little bitch in small tires and needing to get pulled because you high centered

I just got the Makita dual 18V (36V) 16"one. Actually works pretty damn good. Watched a few reviews it out performs both the Stihl and Husqvarna 40cc gas versions of same size.
And two 5amp batteries last pretty long. I got an additional 2 6amp batteries to go with it.
But reviews have it at 40 cuts in a 14" hard wood before battery goes dead with the 5amp.
Vs 44 for the DeWalt and 51 for the Milwaukee.

Based on the reviews the Milwaukee is slightly longer lasting, slightly faster do to a more aggressive chain but also heavier. The Makita came second.

I already have a bunch of Makita tools and needed new batteries and it came with a blower as well for $528 around father's Day at home Depot so seemed like a good deal for me. So far I'm happy with it. Should be good for around the house and the occasional time on the trail.
Can always charge them up with an inverter from the truck.

A few rest/ picnic areas with impromptu campfires spots along the way. There might be a camp area somewhere on one of the trails that branch off.

    :infantry:

I believe bocsy had a husqvarna which came to be a surprise that the battery crapped out entirely

Good to know Makita has one, i do have a bunch of the cordless tools so i'll look into one for myself.
Just double check if the inverter can charge it. Apparently the Husqvarn doesn't want to charge off the truck

You can camp pretty much anywhere you want. There are a few really nice spots, though, along some of the smaller lakes.

The dual charger the Makita one came with won't charge of the bed plug. Tried it already. Plug is 400watt charger needs 440watt as per specs on the back of it.

You could probably run a single charger if need be instead. I'll try and remember to check mine when I get home today.

I've used it a bit on a 4 bundle of oak 4x4s and it cut through without issues

I watched one review recently and it was a Stihl battery against all the others and it was on par with the Milwaukee not sure about battery longevity though

    Edit
Just checked the Makita single charger we have at work and it's 240watt so could charge no problem. Might need to do that 400 watt any time mod

So little info for some guys, plumber on the site has a cottage on Bolger Lake (Ardbeg)
Told me to be careful up there because opp have been coming in every weekend writing tickets to both 4x4 guys and boaters for drinking and driving.
Remember Highway traffic act still applies on trails.

Not saying names but I know guys were doing it last time we went.
Not a nice rep to put with the club. So grow the fuck up and don't be cunts and ruin it for us.

Bolger Lake cottagers have also been complaining to opp and MNR about all the garbage.
So leave it better than you found it. And no beer cans or bottles in the fires.

    100% agree with Joe.

Dont drink and drive. Anything. Anywhere.

I failed to see anyone doing this, or I would be putting your names right here to call you CUNTS out. Totally unacceptable. :bananadead:

oh boy, you are getting old, loosing memory now... I did break front driver side, but on a black loop mud section. Where you are scared to go in a fully build truck, but a stock truck can easy navigate there with P rated tires, talking about being a little bitch ;)

That high center tho, I’d like you to go over that rock.... cause you aren’t getting over it unless you run 35s and short wheelbase, but again, stock truck has more balls to do it all as usual:infantry:

My wife loves taking me grocery shopping. I always get the stick on tattoo's and sweet ass hot wheel's from the end of the isle things.

Cashiers always asking my wife how old our kids are. 'Its only this big kid' is her response all the time. :cookiemonster:
