Hi all. Been a while since I first joined the forum and posted my first post. Since then I have obtained a second hand engine from the TRD Hilux that has the factory supercharged 1gr-fe v6,4.0L engine.
The cost blew out a fair bit cause when I bought the engine I didn’t realise that I needed an intercooler system so that was an extra $2500aud. Then I needed the ECU to suit the engine which was an extra $450aud. So yes costs blew out on a few other things too BUT I now have a kick arse engine that is now running a 5sd manual trans which I’ve had reconditioned and strengthened so I can tow heavy loads in any gear. All I’m going to do now is install extractors and then get it dyno tunes and it should be all happy days. Once I’ve done this I’ll post the dyno sheet for any who is interested to have a look. Yeah it’s cost money but hey... it’s all for some fun in my every day work Ute so why not! Thanks for reading guys! Justin

Hi . Anyone got any idea on how to increase the boost of the TRD supercharger? I have changed the pulley but I read somewhere that there is a brass restricter in a hose somewhere that can be removed. Is this true?
Any other way to increase boost will be great.
I will get my engine dyno tuned after I do the exhaust so I’m hoping they can push this engine to its max.

Hi again all. I have installed the v6 1grfe supercharged engine in a 2006 Hilux 4x4.
I’m wanting to fit the 2.5” pulley but I need to cut down the snout first. I know there is a snout cutter I can but from URD but I was wondering if there is another way I can do it.
Does anyone have any suggestions or have done this before?
    Thanks
