Civvi I don’t have any VA benefits. Just getting some labs looked at is all.

I haven't eaten since about 2000 last night and pounded coffee so they sent me home with a blood pressure monitor, my cholesterol is high and so is my blood sugar. Low carb, lose weight, yadda yadda... Lol

I do need to lose weight. Could gain some MPGs lol :anonymous:

Low carb or ultra low carb... will melt the pounds off. Lost 60lbs last year and stabilized at 225

    Definitely.

That's the key. I used to eat low- and ultra-low-carb diets. When i first did strict keto, i went from 245 to 199. My body feels better eating primarily proteins and fats, but i fell back into eating comfort foods when my back went to shit. I'm now restricting my carb intake by my weekly alcohol consumption, no longer eating breads, limiting pasta, cut out potatoes, carrots and similar starchy veggies. Consuming mainly meats, some dairy (low carb cheeses like Monterey Jack), eggs and (when I crave carbs) low-carb tortillas.

I am almost strictly carnivore these days. I was strict keto for over a year, and did well. Went to almost all red meat and eggs (little cheese here and there) and I feel even better. When I do fall off the wagon it’s awful though, my joints are the most telling.
