The blower motor in my 2008 Tacoma stopped running. After consuming as much information and videos as I could, I did the typical: verified fuse, replaced blower motor (connector was burned), replaced blower motor resistor and connector (one lead was burned). I even replaced magnetic clutch relay (although this was probably not necessary). After all of this, it still won't run. I hot-wired fan directly to battery, so I know it works. When I probe yellow power wire on fan dial connector, it reads 12.3V - so I know I'm getting power to that point. I tried jumpering the yellow wire to the white/royal wire which seems to be the 'high' speed connection which should bypass the resistor, but the voltage dropped to 0.170V. I experimented with disconnecting the resistor in this state and heard a buzzing/humming sound coming from the engine fuse box (?). I checked the resistance on the resistor with a meter and got varying ohms: 2.5, 1.25, 0.4 - so I assume it is okay. I even pulled apart the dial mechanism to inspect the copper traces. The black (ground) wire that comes out of the blower motor connector goes back through a different harness behind the dashboard, so I 'assume' the grounding is okay. I'm at a loss on what to do next, but I didn't want to give up just yet and take it to the repair shop. Any good ideas out there?

What kind of blower motor did you buy? Wouldnt surprise me at all if a cheap parts store unit didnt work out of the box.
