So I've had my 19 trdor mt for a week now and have been trying to accept the fact that I have to put my knee somewhere up around my chin to grab the clutch pedal. I'm 6'-3" and have moved the seat back to a comfortable position so that I can raise he top of my foot to get the clutch without having to bang my knee on the wheel, but the problem is you have to push the thing all the way to the floor so now I'm too short lol. Is there adjustment with this thing to either bring the pedal closer to the floor where it disengages or change the engagement point to be further back? I've been all over trying to see if anybody else has had this same issue, but can't seem to find the exact same problem being answered. I am prepared for a forum beat down from the experienced guys if need be, but a solution would be GREATLY APPRECIATED! Love this truck but I'm not sure how long my knees will last with the current set up haha.

Okay smite me if I'm an idiot, but this wont actual change the distance of the clutch pedal from my body right? We are just talking about being able to better feel engagement? I am saying the the clutch pedal itself is too close to the driver seat, like the thing is abnormally high up when you dont have your foot on it. Not sure if that makes sense or not. I was just going to ask the dealer if they could adjust it at my 3 month check in so that it wasnt so dang close to my body. Seems ridiculous to have to push a foot down to get to disengagement. If they could lower it down closer to that point I think I would be golden, and I would also stop getting my foot stuck under the plastic wrapping the steering column hopefully :/ Killed it twice doing that as painful as it is to admit

This beast takes a lot of getting used to and has made quite a few switch over to the AT because it's kinda wacky. The AT has its own wackiness as well.

6'4" and had absolutely no problems with my MT. Now, your shin will only clear the dash by a few millimeters but it will clear. Give it time for you to figure it out.

Got it feeling better today with a little more seat adjustment. Also didn't realise how much this powertrain set up likes being at a higher rev range so in changing my shifts to around 2500-3K to stay in good powerband it smoothed things out A TON when forking it to the next gear.

General consensus seems to be "driver error". I'll work out the kinks and get used to her. Get excited every morning to get to drive because I like this thing so much... so I'm committed :)

I’ve had my trd or 6mt for 3 weeks and I’m loving it! It took me about a week to be able to change from 1st to 2nd smoothly... now I’m able to shift it smoothly...

I have had my Tacoma for 2.5 weeks and started out in the city shifting at 25-3500 rpms and driving around mostly in 2nd gear. The computer started reading 19L/100km which translates into 12m/gal. So I started shifting at around 1500-2000rpms and and driving around at 1800rpms irregardless of gear. Fuel consumption has gone way down. I am going to start varying the shift points but not do too much high RPMs until I get more kms on the odometer.

I'm 5'8" and am still fiddling with seat position a bit. The salesman gave me a Toyota key chain but with the key in the ignition it hits my knee so I don't use it.

As for clutch peddle position, in order to be able to fully depress the peddle, with my short legs I have to sit a tad closer to the steering wheel than I like and when exiting the truck my knee just clears the tilted out of the way steering wheel.

I also wish the seat bottom could be tilted forward a bit.
