My peppers have been very displeased with the weather so far this spring. I started them indoors and put them out when they were about 4 inches tall. That was 6 weeks ago, and they're currently about 6 inches tall...
Perfectly healthy, just VERY slow growing because it's been so cold and rainy.

I'm telling myself that they're just putting down a good root system, preparing to absolutely amaze me with a sudden explosion of growth

I understand that peppers like the ground to warm up before they are truly happy. Having said that, approx. 1/3 of my peppers are growing well and the remainder are not doing much at all. It is a new adventure every year!

Anyone have any experience with gardens in south FL? I'm thinking of cutting my mango tree down since A) I dont eat them B) They bring rats and squirrels C) I'm tired of neighbor thieves coming in and steeling them. Once I cut it down, I'm going to plant as big a lemon tree as I can find and then put in 3 or 4 raised planting beds for various garden veggies, peppers and herbs depending on what grows best.

My pole beans are exploding now! Loaded with flowers and tiny new ones, and I should be harvesting in a week or so.

Hang in there. Mine are kicking in. Also the okra, finally.

You're just being cruel now :annoyed: I added some phosphorus, but still zero blooms. I should get the results of my soil test back this week. Zukes and cukes are blowing and going tho.

I haven’t picked anything yet. Broccoli got hammered by deer or woodchucks, and I didn’t do onions or lettuce this year.

Got some peppers on the one plant though.

Ground hogs are gone. Deer are still here. Can’t shoot here, legally.
