Sriracha and peanut butter sandwich !!!!

I came home from work to some awesome shrimp tacos and a berry salad. My wife is a great cook.

 

Mine as well.

I remember when I started, seeing all the old cordboards getting ripped out and junked.

Morning everyone. Coffee first to knock the cobwebs of my brain . Quick walk for the dogga. Pack lunch then head to work for day two of driver training. Thank goodness they supply coffee, gonna need it.

Rumor has it that it's Wednesday...

 

Well fishing and hunting is also a big part of my recreation however, the car thing is cut and dry.
Work requires working in a idiotic system on their terms, constantly being having to do other people’s jobs so I can do mine. Repairs are made according to some bullshit agenda. Work requiring technical skill is not rewarded and as such hours each day are done for free.

Working on the exotics and racing.
It’s exacting like your Quilting.
I do it the way I want, how I want. I repair things, not throw things at a problem.
I work on stuff most people have never seen.

Racing is a whole different level.
To have someone trust your work at 185 mph is something I don’t take lightly.
Working on something all winter and bringing it out and seeing it blow down the straightaway and carve through the corner is tremendously satisfying.
I see the results.
Others see the results.
When someone you don’t even know comes over to you and asks advice or wants me to work on their car, Yea pride brings its way into it.
It happened this weekend. One guy wanted me to crew his car instead of Bob’s.

At work, like most people, there is never a “good job” or “thank you”.

I’m not paying for that.
I don’t know what I’m doing

Yes I am working on vehicles in both instances.
But the parameters are totally opposite.

When I first started my career, it was the same.

Now I’m a low life.
You read all the crap that’s said.

So I found something that the parameters are what they should be.
Yea self satisfaction is a big part of a technician but being appreciated
For your skill is priceless...
