They are sand cast so maybe. I’d think that soda blasting would be less aggressive.

I’d just worry with sand cast alloys having such irregular grain that any aggressive media might screw you over when it comes to wheel balance and whatnot.

I used to use a guy out of Bartelso that had a mobile setup that was real slick. Sheet metal doesn’t get hot and warp or come back thinner. It’s not as fast but the results are worth it.

The secret is controlling the moisture as humidity plays havoc with it.

Hmmm, I've seen a few dozen orange running around in the 2nd and 3rd generation, that was over in South /north Carolina area to Tennessee and they were sport and ORs

I agree with @Shellshock the Inferno is what got me. Also the available weirdo ACLB 6MT on lot in Inferno also helped.....

Wheel bearings just put an end to anymore fun mods this year. Only having one side done at the dealership since, thankfully, one of the outfits in town actually has the tools. But, I get a loaner truck for a day. The hood on this thing is obscene, a lot worse than the 2nd gen imho. Bigger too...this thing barely fits my garage.

I had a AT in my 16 and after 18 months I was done with it. I really enjoy the fact that many people can't drive a MT, puts a quick stop to people asking to borrow the truck
