I have a 2009 polaris 500 efi utv and noticed a leak from the oil tank . Checked oil level and over full and smells like gas . Might be injector not sure just found it . Was checking to see if anyone had this problem and how they fixed it and how difficult . Thanks .

I’ve had that problem in my Honda rancher. I attributed it to running ethanol gas. So I didn’t drain the carburetor when I was done riding and it sat for a while. the rubber on the float shrunk and gas must have drained past the rings or something. Idk. My solution was to run non ethanol gas always and I haven’t had a problem since

Had the UTV fixed at the dealer . Mechanic said the only way gas got in the oil tank was through the injector . He took it out and cleaned it and pressure tested it and said its working fine now . He drained the gas tank and changed the oil and filter and reinstalled the injector . He said those injectors last 1000 --- 1500 hours and mine only has 128 hours and at a price of $220 we are just going to try the old one again . There it is for now , GL with yours .
