    Lol!

I remember you have the XTP Intake spacer right? I made my own from a spare manifold, a little thicker, 3/4”, but a side from that, a snorkel and shorty headers my engine won’t be modded. I installed 4.10 gears to get stock power band back after 33s, that’s not really the motor though but my trans is happy.
    What mods do you have?
I’m still not sure I would benefit that much from this. Pulled a plug on each bank and color looks pretty good. Could still be a little lean just based on mods, not sure but my MPGs suck, 13-14 average so maybe not lean :notsure:

I am running the XTP 1/2in IMS, everything else 100% stock.

With JustDSM's tunes, paired with my spelunking into auto trans tuning (not sure if you are auto). The truck is so much more of a pleasure to drive, power is smoother and more linear feeling and she pulls better through the revs. The truck just feels more happy for sure. The money spent on the MPVI2 and 4 credits has been LOOOONG forgotten.

EDIT - and if you are manual.... the addition of throttle cracker tuning (rev hang) on the manual side of the fence sounds like a godsend.

Auto trans here. Are you monitoring MPGs and temps with torque app or similar? If yes, what were the effects of tuning on those?

Edit: and what’s with the trans tuning? Changed shift points or what? Those slush boxes are a mystery to me. Aside from the obvious convenience (and the A750F actually is pretty strong and smooth) I don’t love them much

Only way temps are going to be effected by my trans tuning is by being in 4th and 5th with the lockup clutch activated longer (which was one of my goals). My other goal was to make the shift points a little higher at lighter throttle so it holds onto gear a smidge longer.

But yes so far, my auto trans shift tuning has been simply playing with shift points (both up and down) and lockup clutch apply and release.

    All outlined here

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/hp-tuners-for-2005-2015.600793/page-162#post-20781692

EDIT - My next stop will be trans shift pressures, though im not sure much can be done there, but I have been comparing some different cal's to wrap my head around differences between say a TRD tune and normal N/A cal.

Mpgs, will realistly NOT be effected by trans tuning that i have done, its simply from a driveability standpoint on how i would like the truck to shift. MPG gains are going to by from JustDSM's tune though, especially under load.
