HHOF first ballot I hope. He might not of won a cup but he was so good for so long and did win Gold in Vancouver.

 

I like him during the regular season but he was a choker.

 

Hmm I feel he gets that moniker because of how game 7 went against Boston but that was a team fail. In 2010 at the Olympics he out dueled Brodeur and was rock solid in the elimination round. Who knows though, with no Vezina and no cup he might not make it. I remember his stretch though for his last couple of seasons up until that cup run when he was the best goalie, Vezina or not, IMHO over that span of time. Some of those Vancouver and Florida teams were not very good. He won so many games for those teams by just being consistently better than whoever was in the other crease. It’ll be a shame if he doesn’t get in, of course completely my opinion, because I will always remember his play for the right reasons and that’s the sort of player that belongs in the hall.

 

Luongo for sure will be HOF. Dunno about 1st ballot, especially because it always seems weird with goalies. Either way, great career and (seemingly) a cool guy.

If this opens the door for BOB, then that is cool but why did you spend your pick on drafting 1 of the most hyped goalie prospects in recent memory? Lol. Just weird that if you are going to draft a goalie that high, then I would expect him to play soon and build around. BOB is going to want 8 years, so Knight is going to sit for 8 years?

 

Hey fellas, just found this off topic thread. Big hockey and Flyers fan. Played most of my youth both ice and roller. Men’s leagues now and then but haven’t in a bit, been busy with my 2 and 4 year old. About to get my boy on some skates in a couple weeks. The playoffs were awesome this year, there is nothing like playoff hockey. Who would of thought the Blues huh? Especially watching them halfway through the year, they have our old player/coach as you guys probably know. I’ve always liked “Chief”. Looks like we have a new coach for this year, hope it helps some. We really need to step it up this year, at least we finally have our franchise goalie(maybe). Seems like we always get a good year from them and no more. Guess we will see, looking forward to next season.
