Should be able to swap the 3rd member out, AFAIK they're all the same as far as E-lockers.

As for swapping the whole thing, I'd almost guarantee it'd be more trouble than it's worth. Dunno what changed with ABS as my 1st gen didn't have it, but I think just about everything but the 3rd member changed between a 1st and 2nd gen... spring seat spacing, the brake and parking brake systems, overall width... it's not going to gave any mounts for the brake hoses for example, since it had a center hose and hard lines on the axle. And you'd pretty much have to swap the backing plates as the parking brake cable system is totally different, which may or may not work since I think the bearings are pretty different too...

Will the Axel's work if I swap the 3rd member over from the 2001 to the 2006 all I really need is just the 3rd member to fix it I don't really need the whole thing just as long as I can throw these Axel's in it this 3rd member would save us SOoooooo much money

Far as I know the E-locker 3rd is the same basic design as the old 8" has been for longer than I've been alive. I dunno if they changed axle shaft splines or the actuator connector, but it should pop right in. Might be an ABS sensor in the 1st get one (not sure on that, but it'd make sense as there's not much point in individual wheel speed sensors with a single rear brake line) but one could just leave it unplugged.
