I believe I liked it better your way. Non functional scoops are for atheists. :hattip:

I can’t stand fake hood scoops. This alone pushed me into an OR. If the scoop was functional, I woulda most likely got a sport. Either way, you’re a peasant since u didn’t get a pro.

About the same money? The TRD OR is $3000 more at MSRP than TRD Sport. And you typically get a better discount off the Sport as dealer keep so few ORs they don't tend to deal as much on them.

IMO, it all depends on what you want, if enjoy off-roading then there's benefits in the OR. Personally, I like the looks of the Sport better and I hate those rubber spats, look like hell after a few years.

I always laugh when I see the wind deflector under the front bumper of the Sport model. I mean nothing says STAY ON ROAD like a huge plastic bit 3" from the road surface

If your going to buy the sport take it off and atleast LOOK like you could leave the pavement.

Never understood why Toyota would put that thing on a truck

MPG, Toyota didn’t intend for the truck to be taken off-road. Plenty of horror stories on here how people had warranty denied because they left pavement.

If you compare the same configuration sport and OR they have the same exact MSRP.

I get MPG for what is coined the pavement model but the Sport is a damn capable Offroader. And damn the warranty take it off road and roooooooost

The hood scoops on prior Tacomas bulged up and got on your line of vision. The current hood scoops aren't as bad. But IMO it's still silly to have a scoop that doesn't do squat.
