Hey folks looking for some help and opinions here. 2009 Tacoma 4.0 V6, went to start the truck and when I turned the key there was a loud pop sounded like under the hood and now the truck won’t start. When I turn the key to ON the dash and clock lights come on but are flickering, and turning it to start does nothing, doesn’t even try to turn over.

Easiest thing to check first is your starter relay, it's in the fuse box under the hood.

How old is the battery? Have you tried to jump start the truck?

First thing you need to do is remove battery both +/- battery cables and clean the terminals along with the cables to a sparkling shine. Reinstall and tighten then restart truck. If no go, remove battery and take it to an auto parts store so they can load test the battery. Highly likely a bad battery.
