I have 25k on oem wrangler Kevlars never had any issues with them just nearing time to replace them there about half life done.

I’ve narrowed it down to Falken wildpeaks 265/75/16 at3w

Leaning towards for LT rating for maximum durability and “just in case” but unsure if the ride will suffer as much as they say?

Are the P rated more durable then oem wranglers? Even though there the same P rating? I often go off roading to gravel roads and rocky back roads and climb up challenging hills by my lonesome.i have OEM off road suspension

4 wheels parts has the LT rated ones for sale at 577$ OTD

The P rated ones are only about
    40$ cheaper OTD

    Do those prices include install?

I bought SL rated as I didn't need the extra ply. Negatives of E rated would be drop in mpg and noise.

For reference, I would say the SL rated are similar to the stock goodyears in terms of noise. Maybe half an mpg drop in my experience.

Does not include install. Would be another 60$ from a local shop.

Do you think the SL are more durable then the stock wranglers?

Is that 4 tires? You can pick up on Amazon for $120 a tire. Think the 10 ply are an extra 5$ each.

But in general, people agree even the 4 ply has a tougher sidewall than the kevlars.

Buy them from discount tire... so just in case they have issues you can replace.. mine did tried 2 pair and ended up with BFG.

I’ll have to check that out I’m gonna look for the best possible deal. Are the kevlars 4 ply? So it seems the SL might be the way to go if there at least a step above In durability then kevlars.

I went E and have zero regrets. Ride great, quiet and are not harsh like people claim. Heavy...yes.

If you wheel on rocky terrain go E. If not they’re probably overkill.

Regardless of which load index you go with, I'd invest in a matching full size 5th spare tire if you are going up a size. Especially if you are wheeling all by your lonesome. Maybe a taller bottle jack too.

@11Bravo4x4 - Discount tire has a 10% rebate going right now through the weekend. In store or on line. I think it’s on on any tire, I bought tires for two of my vehicles today and got it on both.

Also, the standard load AT3W is made of a different rubber compound than the LT versions. Falken says the non-LT sizes deliver better "wet performance" on their website. My standard load 265 70 17 AT3W have been great. I don't drive on rocks too often though. I mostly bought these all-terrain tires for the 3 peak mountain snowflake rating and better traction at the beach.
