I have a basic question about swapping suspension. I have a Tacoma, wife has a 5G 4Runner. Recently saw 5G TRD Pro suspension (everything included) for sale locally for $500.

Question is, has anyone done this swap before? $500 sounds like a good deal to me and I assume would net a 1" lift. This would mainly be an aesthetic upgrade for the wife's truck to look pretty.

$500.00 is almost too cheap. How old, how many miles? Are these Bilstein or Fox Pro’s? Just front, just back or all 4 corners. Does this include the coils?

I’ve been burned by buying used parts before. To me it’s worth avoiding the headache going new. That does seem awfully cheap tho.

Its Bilstein stuff. Forgive my ignorance, I am just breaking ground on 4Runner stuff as I've been so consumed with the Tacoma, as it should be ;)

The ad states it came off of a 2018 pro at 7k miles. Includes all 4 corners coils and UCAs, not that I would need those, but its in the ad.
The 4R PROs switched from Bilstein to FOX in 2019 right?

Ask for pictures. Any where near you so you can get hands on before purchasing? I have gotten good deals from people who just wanted to get it out of the garage. I have given away good stuff to get it out of the garage. YMMV

I would definitely not buy blind. I am a veteran CL buyer/seller so Ill be able to go play with them before buying.
Ive also sold stuff at an insane price to free up space so maybe this will be the same idea.

Although, I just read on the 4Runners forum, that Toyota was selling the Bilstein PRO kits for $600 once the switch to FOX was announced, so the price is right on par. Unfortunately, all of the new kits sold out, go figure ha

I bought a used set with seller claiming 15k miles of use for about $600 and i added a small cornfed spacer kit. Its a great setup over stock. You really feel the difference especially in high speed desert type off roading.
TIP: if you have the trd off road with KDSS, measure at stock and see if you have the KDSS lean. If so, set both coilovers on the same notch. The Pro kit is set with the driver side up one notch.
